In our house, we do a lot of "family hugs." Olivia is very particular about how a family hug should be done. Mommy and Daddy need to be standing up and Daddy should be holding Olivia. After the hug, both Mommy and Daddy kiss Olivia on the cheek. If there is any deviation from this routine, Olivia points out our mistakes and we start over. Given Olivia's strict rules about family hugs, I was very surprised by a conversation we had after she threw a small temper tantrum:
Mommy: "Do you want a family hug with Mommy and Daddy"
Mommy: "Do you want a family hug with Mommy and Daddy"
Olivia: "and Baby too?"
That's right, Olivia is going to be a big sister and it seems to me, she's going to be a fantastic one! After all, she adjusted the family hug rules to include the baby only a few hours after she found out about him/her!
We are all very excited about this new addition to our family. My due date is sometime between December 3rd and 11th. I had my first ultrasound yesterday and everything is going well so far!
