On Thursdy night Olivia got her first bottle. She did really well, drinking 16 of the 33 mL in about 15 minutes (they fed her the rest through her ng tube). For now, they are going to try and feed her by mouth 2 times a day, since it is really hard work for her. Once she does well, they will gradually let her eat by mouth more and more until she doesn't need the ng tube anymore.
On Friday I got to breastfeed her for the first time (sorry, Howie said not to post the pictures). The lactation consultant said that it was the best first try that she has seen in a long time! We are going to try again today!
She is going to be 4lbs in no time, she now weighs 3lbs 12.9oz!

Jen, may I say, you are looking fabulous. Confident and healthy. Every positive post seems to be making both the Banuelos girls even prettier.
