Let me explain the title: I asked Howie to help with the blog, so he came up with the title. It will make sense by the end of the blog...

Olivia hasn't been doing very good with chunky food, so the doctor suggested that we let her feed herself the pureed food. I am not sure how that is supposed to help her learn to chew up chunky food, but we tried it anyway.

This is butternut squash, chicken and rice.

She really enjoyed herself and even wanted to share with me! I politely declined.

It is probably hard to believe when looking at the pictures, but she did manage to eat most of it. She even came up with a little routine: 1) pick up the food with right hand, 2) pick up spoon with left hand, 3) transfer spoon from left and to right hand, and 4) lick food off spoon handle and from between fingers.

So, from now on, on bath night, olivia will be feeding herself!

A few weekends ago, we went to Visalia/Fresno to visit family and go to Connor Lopez's birthday party. Ava and Olivia had so much fun together!

They played on the swings. Olivia had much more fun swinging than Ava did.

Olivia tried to help Howie with the dishes. I am not sure how much help she actually was.

And finally, the BEEF. We had steak for dinner the other night and we gave Olivia a piece.

At first she wasn't sure what to do with it, but she figured it out pretty fast.

Once again, she wanted to share with mommy.

mmmmmm...yummy. She sucked on it a lot and even took a few little bites. Daddy was so proud!
