Not quite ready yet...

Since Olivia is 7 months old now, we decided to try and give her some cereal.

At first she seemed pretty excited about it.

After the first bite, she wasn't sure she liked it (and I don't blame her, it smells yucky).

Every time we tried to give her some, she opened her mouth wide and chomped down on the spoon...

...so we thought she was ready.

But we were wrong. After the fun of having the spoon put in her mouth wore off, she started pushing all the food out of her mouth. Upon examining her bib, we realized that she didn't actually swallow any of it. Because she was born so early, it is possible she won't be ready to eat from a spoon until December, so we will try again in a few weeks.

We have been going for walks in the evenings and it has started getting cold, so Olivia has to be bundled up.

She gets so excited that her hat doesn't stay on for very long. We have to stop every few blocks and pull it down.

This is a picture of Olivia sleeping in her crib. It is important to tell you that when we put her in the crib, she was on the other side, with her head facing the opposite direction.

Just as we took this picture, she started moving again. I guess she wanted to cuddle with her hippo!
